GIBSON INN

Thing To Do GIBSON INN

Step back in time and experience Florida as it once was at the Gibson Inn. Built in 1907 by James Fulton Buck at the peak of Apalachicola’s reign as center for lumber and shipping, the hotel is a testimony to the beauty and strength of the native heart pine and black cypress that built this iconic structure. Now over 115 years old, the Gibson Inn is as stunning today as it was on the day it first opened its doors. Having recently undergone an impressively painstaking renovation, visitors and overnight guests can now relive the true Crown Jewel of Apalachicola, now back to reliving its former glory on the Forgotten Coast.

No trip to Apalach is complete without a visit to the Gibson’s Parlor Bar where you can enjoy a drink on one of their iconic white rocking chairs.
