The Cape St. George Lighthouse on St. George Island presents the May Sunset and Full Moon Climb on Thursday, May 23, 2024. This event offers an unparalleled opportunity to witness the beauty of St. George Island, the Gulf of Mexico, and Apalachicola Bay illuminated by the evening sky. The climb starts at 8:00 p.m. and lasts until 11:00 p.m., with 15-minute intervals for each group on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are available for purchase at the gift shop starting at 7:30 p.m. on the day of the event, without the option for advance reservations. Each time slot can accommodate up to 12 participants. Tickets are priced at $10.00 for the general public and $7.00 for members of the St. George Lighthouse Association, accepting both cash and credit card payments. Immerse yourself in the beauty of St. George Island at the June Sunset and Full Moon Climb at the Cape St. George Lighthouse, happening on Friday, June 21, 2024. This event provides a splendid opportunity to witness the stunning vistas of St. George Island, the Gulf of Mexico, and Apalachicola Bay beneath the evening sky. The climb will be from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with 15-minute slots available for each group on a first-come, first-served basis. Ticket sales start at 8:00 p.m. in the gift shop on the day of the event, without the possibility of advance booking. A maximum of 12 participants is allowed per slot. The cost is $10.00 per person for the general public and $7.00 for St. George Lighthouse Association members, with both cash and credit card accepted. Climbers must be at least 40 inches tall, and children over the age of 13 are permitted on the outside catwalk. For more information, contact the Lighthouse Gift Shop at 850-927-7745.
