Our stay at the Taranto house was excellent. Very easy instructions on check in/check out and the location was great. Walk to all shops and restaurants. Very nice room with a very comfortable bed and updated bathroom. We would definitely stay here again when coming to apalachicola.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The room and bathroom was beautiful and super clean and the bed was hands down the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in ! Walking distance to great restaurants and shops. Would love to stay again soon!

We visit the Apalachicola area a couple times a year, and this has been far our best VRBO rental. Came home a rented it again for the 4th of July weekend!! Can't wait!!

Love the bathroom! Husband was impressed with the vanity. Bed was very comfortable. Stairs are included with this one. Apalachicola is our most favorite place to stay!

The property was as advertised. Very clean and remodeled. Loved the old home feel. House has history. Only thing I found odd was there was not a hair dryer to be found. Had shampoo, conditioner and soap but no hair dryer. All else was simply fantastic.

We needed an extra night's accommodation at the end of our vacation because of my error on the dates. This was the perfect spot! The room was well-appointed and comfortable. The shower was fantastic! ;-) It was convenient to all the sights of Apalachicola and for dinner at a lovely seaside restaurant in Port St. Joe. We look forward to returning and spending more time here.

This rental is a cozy home within walking distance of shops and restaurants. It was extremely clean and quiet The bed was very comfortable. Check in and check out was easy and flawless. I would definitely love to stay at the Taranto House again. We loved the small town atmosphere, slow paced, local shops, friendly people.

I can’t say enough nice things about our stay at the Taranto House. The property manager & housekeeping crew are more than accommodating. They made sure we were comfortable our entire stay. The Taranto House is located in the perfect spot. It’s nice & quiet but steps away from downtown. We can’t wait to stay again! Thank you again!

Loved the location. Manager friendly and professional. There was a large fridge in common area. This was nice but would have also liked small fridge in our room as well. Otherwise this was the perfect retreat. Thank you.

I loved staying here so much. I went by myself and felt very safe. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was very updated. The kitchen was always stocked with coffee and the common areas looked very luxurious. I loved walking around the cute little town in Historic Apalachicola! I wasn't aware that there wasn't a major beach near by (or at least I didn't see one on my maps), but St. George Island is a 15 minute drive and the beach there is great. I completely recommend this place for someone traveling by themselves or a few others!

Highly recommend! We had driven 6 hours to a nearby campground only to find our reserved spot occupied and nobody present. It was getting late so we needed to find nearby accommodations at 8pm. There was a room available and the host answered our phone call and made check in easy and quick. The room, actually the whole place, was squeaky clean. Super comfortable bed and great shower. Kitchen area was also super clean with coffee and tea available to guests. Thanks for saving our weekend!

The place has been recently remodeled which is evident. 100% spotless & clean. Pictures accurately depict what you get. The bed is super comfortable, we slept great at night which never happens when away from home. The sound machine was a nice touch! Pricing was very fair compared to other listings. We didn’t mind the shared living space although there was only 1 additional occupant at the time we stayed. Location is perfect for being near downtown.

Stay was very much so enjoyable at room! We felt welcome to utilize kitchen accommodations, as well as relax on front porch. Room was relaxing, clean and comfortable. Pics and description described a larger space than what was, but we loved it still.

Very clean and quiet place. Only small thing I would suggest is to add a set of shelves to the bathroom area and bottled water in the fridge. Maybe a bit better coffee selection. Maybe the cleanest place we have stayed. The location would seem to be noisy, but no problem at all. Greta area close to downtown and great walking near Lafayette Park. Definitely will stay here again!

Definitely recommend, beautiful home and tastefully remodeled. Located right in the middle of all the good places to eat sight see. Check in was super easy and the host was quick to respond with any questions. Definitely will stay again while working in the area.

We were pleasantly surprised how nice everything was, other than 1 couple arriving late and very noisy coming in the place was almost too quiet.
The room had bathroom was really nice, clean modern and decorated modern 😁
Will plan another trip just to stay here!

Everything was fabulous. My only suggestion would be to designate parking. It was tricky. I’m not sure if there is not enough parking for all guests or if other people other than guests were parking on the property. I wasn’t ask my vehicle make and model, so I’m not sure how the property managers would know a guest or not. Several times during my stay I had to park several blocks away. There were no signs stating that parking was for the Taronto House. Hope this helps. Would definitely stay there again and I was a local for 35 years. Next time I’ll park and have friends pick me up if I’m leaving the downtown area.

This is a new property and everything in it is new. All pictures shown are accurate. Perfect location downtown and walkable to everything. Very quiet and beautiful. Would stay again. Highly recommended.

Everything was great about this rental except the registration process. They wanted to take control of my phone camera (for reasons I can't understand). I refused. Then they wanted a copy of my driver's license. I have NEVER had to endure this anywhere. Go figure. Otherwise, this is a lovely rental.
