Quiet and quaint room within a lovely home that was easily accessible. Better than the big hotel a few blocks away. Kitchen had coffee pods and condiments which was an exceptionally nice touch. Place was so clean. We loved it.

Great location close to the water and the Gibson Inn. Renters should be aware that there may be renters in other bedrooms. Also, shared kitchen does not have an oven/stove, so plan to eat out at all of Apalachicola's great restaurants!

Perfect for a quick stopover. Clean, comfortable and had all the amenities (except I wish they had a washer/dryer too). Within walking distance to town and restaurants. Guest book with recommendations from previous guests was a great idea and the communal kitchen and living space was a great way to meet other travellers. Note - the location is near a main road so there can be a bit of car noise - especially in the front bedroom. Not a deal breaker but something to be mindful of if you're a light sleeper.

We booked this entire property for our wedding. The groomsmen and the groom stayed here and used it as their getting ready space. It was a beautiful option for them. Additionally, it is within walking distance to the rest of Apalachicola which was extremely convenient. It has the feel of the Gibson Inn at a more affordable price and shared space if that is something you are in need of- worked perfect for our groomsmen!

This was my fourth or fifth visit at the Taranto House. This place NEVER disappoints! It’s affordable, clean and updated! Very happy with my last stay and will return again soon!

We loved our stay for one night. The host let us check in a bit early. This airbnb was a multiunit home, with a shared kitchen/commons area. I’ve never done this type of stay before, so I was nervous. I was very impressed with this, and felt safe. We got lucky tho, no one was booked in the whole house so we actually ended up being alone for the night. If another guest were there, it wouldn’t of been a problem because of how they set up the place. We had a private entrance on the first floor in our room. We walked 5 mins to dinner at the owl cafe (which was amazing), we love Apalachicola! It was so easy walking Back after drinking at the watercraft brewing CO. The bed was very comfy, ac unit in your room so we loved being able to sleep cold in our room. Double shower head was awesome!! Tv had any app you wanted. Everything was very clean (I’m a host so I loved that). Parking was convenient right next to the house. We will definitely stay here again while passing through next time.

Das Taranto Haus war genau wie beschrieben.
Es gab tolle Anweisungen und der
Check-in-Vorgang war sehr einfach. Die
Unterkunft sah genauso aus wie auf den
Bildern und war sehr ruhig. Die Gemeinschafts Küche war
voll ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Die Lage war
perfekt! Ganz in der Nähe von vielen schönen Restaurants. Ich kann diese Unterkunft jedem empfehlen, der nach Apalacecola reist.

Clean and well decorated with a charming coastal/Apalachicola feel. Very close and convenient to center of town and bridge. Traffic a little noisy at times with trucks going back a forth to the boat ramp and vehicles on the bridge, but not too bad. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Loved the house and our room. We were also lucky to be the only guests! If you really want privacy, I wouldn't recommend this place when other rooms are booked. I would still book it again for a short stay.

This place is Amazing! Don’t hesitate, just book it!!! It was one of the nicest Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed. Like a five star hotel! The bed was so comfortable and it was very peaceful.

This is a professionally managed, purpose built Airbnb that's part of the Gibson Inn family. it's across the street from the food service establishments of the Inn, walking distance to DT for more dining options, and an even closer walk to a Marina/jetty where you can watch BOTH the sunset and the sunrise.
During our stay, the manager - who is a fifth generation Apalachicola resident - happen to drop by. she gave us a bunch of reco's which turned out to be spot on! (St George Island, ANERR, etc...)
Also, we ended up booking he same day of check-in. The info came pretty quickly, Would highly recommend.

We only spent one night but would have happily stayed longer. The house is superb, elegant and decorated with great taste. The kitchen is well equipped and the rooms are worthy of a luxury hotel. We had the chance to share very good times with the people who stayed in the house. A very nice discovery!

Absolutely, outstanding! Not enough words to describe what a blessed relief it was to get off the road and to have this beautiful remodeled, clean lovely home to go to for the evening. Apalachicola, Florida is a charming, clean small town with cultural events, lovely, coffee, shops, and restaurants. We had breakfast at Café con Leche, which was walkable from the location and served a delicious breakfast and beautiful coffee. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

On a passé une seule nuit mais on serait volontiers resté plus longtemps. La maison est superbe, élégante et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. La cuisine est bien équipée et les chambres sont dignes d’un hôtel de luxe. Nous avons eu la chance de partager de très bons moments avec les personnes qui logeaient dans la maison. Une très belle découverte !

I did not have maintenance issues. Very nice B&B. Loved our room and the spacious kitchen. We arrived late, restaurants were closed & were so glad there was a microwave to heat our frozen dinner! Everything was great! Would love to return with our families!

We had a great stay and will definitely book again. Super clean and very comfortable king bed with nice linens. Nice to meet other guests in the common area. Only recommendation would be to add blackout drapes in addition to the blinds on the French doors… morning sun is bright. Super friendly property manager who keeps the place in great condition.

Great house! Very close to downtown. Cozy yet spacious bedroom and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Loved the shower. My only suggestions would be to place a tv in the community living space and to fix keypad on front door. Overall great place and would definitely stay here again!

We had a fabulous stay! So accommodating and welcoming. We had the whole house to ourselves so it worked out well but I would’ve been great if there were other guests. Enjoyed our short stay. Great location within walking distance of downtown and boat launch. Short drive to St. George island. Property was immaculate and kitchen area appeared brand new. Coffee maker had Kcups. Microwave, full-size refrigerator etc. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice too.

Lovely Old Estate home that has been completely remodeled into a 5 bedroom, 5 bath house. Each room has a very big screen TV on the wall of each bedroom
There is a gathering room and kitchen on the first floor
Each bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed
I would highly recommend this as a place for two couples or 5 couples or if you are traveling alone
